Overview

This grand villa stands beside the sixth hole of the Quinta do Lago golf course and enjoys a beautiful and serene setting, surrounded by lovely landscaped gardens, water features, cobbled pathways amongst the trees and a delightful pool area with views of the golf course.

The villa garage has an electrically controlled entrance door and is reached via a gently sloping driveway, or alternatively there is plenty of parking space on the villa fore court, where the cobbled driveway leads you to the grand villa entrance. Dual staircases rise majestically either side of a tiled hallway to the first floor, with a distinctive brick oval ceiling and an impressive clock above the double wooden entrance doors.

The property is built on three floors, with the lower level of the property being on the same level as the garage. Villa Salou features under floor heating and air conditioning throughout the whole of the house and all of the bathrooms have towel heaters. Reached via a staircase from the hallway, the lower level of the property consists of the games room, utility room, cloakroom and en suite bedroom one.

The games room has comfortable wooden flooring and air conditioning, and you have the option of playing tournaments on either the table tennis table or the pool table! Next door to the cloakroom a door leads to the garage, where there is a utility room that houses the washing machine and tumble dryer. Bedroom one on the lower level is a double bedroom with air conditioning and tiled flooring. Although on the lower level of the house, the room benefits from natural light through the windows. This bedroom has a lovely en suite, with dual wash basins and a walk-in shower. Returning to the ground floor of the villa, this level of the property consists of the kitchen, television room, dining room, lounge, guest cloakroom and two en suite twin bedrooms.

Living Areas

The dining room and lounge are open plan via an archway and are on a split level, with the dining room being on the same level as the hallway and the lounge is then reached via two steps. The lounge has double patio doors that lead directly out to the splendid swimming pool and terrace.

The television room is a cosy, comfortable room with double patio doors leading directly to the poolside terrace. Air conditioning, a log burning fireplace, comfy sofas, a flat screen television with the Laser cable channels (which include the full sky sports package), a DVD/CD player and wireless internet complete the impressive inventory for this room.

The air conditioned kitchen has been designed with a superb central island that serves as a breakfast bar and is also where the oven and hobs are located. The kitchen is fully equipped and appliances also include two fridges, a freezer, toaster, kettle, juicer, dishwasher, coffee machine and microwave.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

To the right of the entrance hall is the guest cloakroom and bedrooms two and three. Bedroom two is a twin bedroom with an en suite bathroom, air conditioning and doors to the poolside terrace. Bedroom three is a twin bedroom with en suite shower room, air conditioning and views of the garden from the window.

On the first floor of the property are bedrooms four and five. Bedroom four is a double bedroom, the bed measures 1.8m x 1.95 with air conditioning and an en suite shower room. Bedroom five is the master double bedroom - the bed measures 1.8m x 2m, featuring air conditioning, an en suite bathroom with separate shower unit and a great private terrace which has marvellous views over to the sixth green of the Quinta do Lago golf course.

Outside Space

You can only sit back and appreciate the landscaped gardens, water features, cobbled pathways amongst the trees, mature shrubs and flowers. A delightful shaded pagoda in the corner of the garden, next to the golf course, offers shade in the warm summer months, as does the covered terrace next to the pool. The swimming pool, which can be heated for a weekly charge, measures approximately 11 metres x 5 metres. Overlooking the pool is a raised and shaded barbecue area with gas barbecue, wash hand basin and dining table and chairs.

Location

Villa Salou is located in the five star resort of Quinta do Lago, Just minutes from the famous Quinta shopping centre.

The rates for this villa include maid service five times a week except Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays, towel change twice weekly and bed linen change weekly. Check in 16:00 hours, check out 10:00am. Underfloor heating is available for a supplemental charge.

Please note that opposite the entrance to Villa Salou there is a villa under construction in the local neighbourhood, this work is not visible from the pool area of Salou but background noise may be heard on occasion depending on the type of work taking place. There will however be no works taking place on this plot during the peak months of July and August due to the local council laws restricting building works in peak season in urban-touristic areas.
