Villa Grande is an impressive and unique property set in a desirable location in the beautiful Chianti hills, halfway between the charming towns of Panzano and Greve.
Villa Grande is the ideal place to relax in tranquillity and peace. The property has been restored with great attention to detail whilst offering contemporary comforts such as, air conditioning in the bedrooms and a gym.

The property can sleep 22 persons in total, in the main villa, cottage, studio and barn.
The property was owned by the Verrazzano family for hundreds of years and has recently been acquired by a Florentine family. Guests can spend many a fine evening relaxing in this villa with family and friends, enjoying excellent food and the stunning scenery into the long summer evenings.
Entering the ground floor of the villa there is a spacious living room with fireplace, a bright dining room and a professional kitchen equipped with contemporary appliances including a dishwasher, ice maker, food processor/blender, juicer, oven, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee machine and kettle. The villa also has a television room which is equipped with a flat screen plasma television with English language news channels and a good selection of movie channels that can be watched in English. There is also a DVD player with a large collection of DVDs to enjoy, several CD players and a DSL wireless internet connection available.
There is a separate cottage which has a small living room with fireplace and kitchen diner which is equipped with appliances including a dishwasher, oven and refrigerator. It has a separate entrance with a small private patio and a terrace with table and sun umbrellas
The studio offers a sitting area, and the barn offers a little kitchenette.
One of the great holiday experiences when staying at a villa in Tuscany is to have a private dinner cooked for you by professional staff at the villa. Cooks can be pre booked so that you can relax during your stay. Italian home cooking really is second to none, with the use of tasty seasonal and local ingredients and complimented by a glass of the fine local Chianti wines.
Villa Grande can sleep 12 people in the main villa, 4 people in the cottage, 2 persons in the studio & 4 people in the barn.
Villa: There are two en-suite double bedrooms on the ground floor and four on the first floor. All bedrooms are doubles and four of the six beds can be converted into twins upon request. All bedrooms are en suite, of which 3 are shower rooms and 3 are bathrooms with bath and separate shower unit.
Cottage: On the first floor are two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning. One of these double bedrooms can be converted into a twin. Both en suites are shower rooms.
Studio: One double bedroom with a shower, sitting area and terrace.
Barn: Two queen size bedrooms sharing 1 bathroom with a shower.
All bedrooms are air conditioned
Outside there is a traditional BBQ and several terraces, including the main terrace with dining table which can be accessed directly from the kitchen and from which guests can enjoy the beautiful countryside views overlooking the vineyards and onto Panzano. The spacious and meticulously kept Tuscan Garden is safe for children with extensive lawns and a fenced, chlorine free 15 x 6m swimming pool with a depth of 1.68m throughout. The garden lawns are surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. There is plenty of room for parking on the villa grounds.
In the garden is a gymnasium with air conditioning and Hammam (Turkish Bath). Equipment in the gym includes a treadmill, cross trainer, and bicycle.
The closest village to Villa Grande is the lovely village of Greve, located just 3 km away. Panzano in Chianti is 5 kms away. In both villages you will find a wide selection of excellent local restaurants and amenities. Florence is 30kms away, and Florence airport is 1 hour away.
In addition to the stunning scenery and the tranquil, relaxing environment that the Tuscany region affords, there is also plenty to do with your family and friends! Practice your Italian cooking, wine tastings in the fabulous Chianti vineyards, walking in the hills and countryside, swimming in your private pool, bicycle rides, tennis, golf, visits to the beautiful local villages, and not forgetting trips to the magnificent cities of Florence and Siena, both of which are steeped in history and tradition.
Included - Utilities, garden & pool maintenance, mid-week clean & linen/towel change, final clean & welcome hamper & toiletries.
There is one cot and highchair available and free of charge.
Excluded - Gas heating, private chef on request, cooking classes on request, shopping on request and tourist tax at 2 euros per person per day.
As noted above, the housekeeper of the villa will be happy to provide a food pack for you upon arrival, the price will be the hourly cost of the maid to do the shopping, plus the receipt for the groceries. Please advise us of the list of groceries you would like to have when you arrive.
Prices quoted are per villa per week. Please note where your holiday dates cross multiple price bands the total holiday price is calculated per day per price band.
The rates quoted for 2025 bookings are based on 2024 rates and are subject to final confirmation around Oct / Nov 2024 (but could be later) when contracts are signed.
