Sun-hat Villas & Resorts are delighted to introduce Villa Bonsai, an exquisite five-bedroom villa boasting a private pool and gardens that has been beautifully refurbished to a premium standard. Nestled in a serene yet central location, this remarkable property is conveniently situated near the prestigious golfing havens of Vilamoura and Vila Sol. As the name implies, the pièce de résistance of this opulent villa is a 300-year-old Ficus Bonsai tree, gracefully enclosed in glass, seamlessly connecting the living areas of the property and epitomizing the elegance and sophistication found throughout the impressive Villa Bonsai. With air conditioning and fibre-optic Wi-Fi internet included in the rental rates.

Living Areas

Upon entering the house into the library, one is immediately embraced by a tranquil atmosphere and the plush armchair seating. To the left, there is a study, perfect for those who need a home office space during their holiday. This study also features a comfortable sofa that can be transformed into a bed upon prior request that is suitable for one adult or two children aged up to 12 years, for an additional weekly surcharge.

The open plan living areas are spacious and filled with natural light, creating a bright and airy ambiance. A large and cosy sofa awaits, inviting guests to relax and enjoy their cable channels on the large wall mounted flat screen Smart TV, which includes popular English language channels such as BBC, ITV, and Sky Sports. For additional entertainment, guests can use their own log-in credentials to access streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime. The living space is enhanced by a Sonos soundbar, allowing guests to stream their favourite music from their personal smart devices.

A charming fireplace nook and a well-stocked bar with floor-to-ceiling wine racks complete this generous space, offering guests the opportunity to sample a selection of wines. (It is kindly requested that any consumed bottles be replaced before departure; or are charged at a rate of €20.00 per bottle). Patio doors open onto a large wrap around balcony with a swing seat where you can relax and enjoy the outdoor surroundings.

The dining area is equally impressive, featuring a wall-mounted Smart TV and a spacious table that can comfortably accommodate ten people. The modern kitchen, with its central island and four stools, is fully equipped with top-of-the-line appliances, including a double fridge, double freezer, range gas oven and stove with six hobs, extractor, kettle, dishwasher, Dulce Gusto coffee machine, and a Quooker tap that provides instant access to a variety of drinking water options, such as chilled sparkling, chilled still, boiling, or room temperature water. Large patio windows provide a view of the BBQ area and pool, creating a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Adjacent to the kitchen, a charming country-style laundry room offers additional appliances, including a microwave, toaster, an extra dishwasher, and a washing machine. And not forgetting the showpiece of these areas - The 300-year-old Ficus Bonsai tree enclosed in glass. There is also a guest cloakroom which includes a walk-in shower on this level.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

The first bedroom is a luxurious double room (created by combining two singles) with a charming wooden floor, exquisite fitted wardrobes, and a lavish en suite bathroom adorned with a heated towel rail. Step through the patio doors and be captivated by the breathtaking countryside views from the shared balcony. The second bedroom also boasts a double bed created by combining two singles, complemented by a wooden floor and elegant fitted wardrobes. Its en suite shower room features a double walk-in shower. Open the patio doors and indulge in the picturesque scenery from the balcony, which is shared with the first bedroom.

Ascend the stairs to discover the enchanting bedrooms three, four, and five. Bedroom three offers a delightful twin room experience, complete with fitted wardrobes and a luxurious en suite shower room featuring a double walk-in shower. Step onto the private balcony, furnished with a comfortable sofa and a table, and immerse yourself in the panoramic countryside views that stretch before you.

Bedroom four is the master double room, exuding elegance with its fitted wardrobes and opulent en suite shower room. Pamper yourself in the double walk-in shower, accompanied by double vanities and a heated towel rail. As you slide open the large doors, a private balcony awaits, enveloping you in tranquility and offering a mesmerizing view of the majestic palm trees, evoking a sense of being in a tropical paradise.

Outside Space

The outdoor dining area has been meticulously crafted to provide ample space for dining and lounging. A central island adorned with traditional blue and white Portuguese tiles, equipped with a ceiling fan and stool seating for six people, serves as the centre piece. In addition, a large dining table can comfortably accommodate up to ten people. The expansive private saltwater swimming pool, measuring approximately 14m x 8m, is perfect for the entire family to enjoy and can be heated for an additional weekly supplement. Relax under the shade of a bamboo pergola furnished with comfortable chair and sofa seating and complete with a wall-mounted outdoor TV that broadcasts popular English cable channels such as BBC, ITV, and Sky Sports, creating the ultimate outdoor sanctuary for unwinding with loved ones. Finally, for the aspiring chefs in your group, a gas BBQ is available to create culinary delights for the whole family. Outside there is a table tennis table for your enjoyment.

Villa Bonsai is situated in a quiet area of Vilamoura, that is not too far from all amenities and the famous Marina- with its lively atmosphere and shops, restaurants, bars, casino and beach club. Vilamoura offers a wide range of leisure and sports activities with five golf courses, including the championship Victoria course on your doorstep, where the Portuguese Masters is held; a tennis club with 12 outdoor courts, a horse-riding centre as well as yachting, water-sports and much more!

Other Items

Maid service- one week bookings will receive a mid-week clean and towel change. Two week bookings will receive mid-week cleaning and towel changes and the additional weekend changeover clean, towel and bed linen change after one week. A hairdryer, a safe and pool towels are provided for your convenience.
