Overview

Quinta dos Vales is an outstanding wine and art estate located in the heart of the Western Algarve, near the village of Estombar and a short drive to Carvoeiro, Portimao and the beautiful local beaches. The unique combination of high-quality award-winning wines and stunning sculptures set in the beautiful gardens makes Quinta dos Vales a superb relaxing holiday retreat for up to 50 guests.

Offering a luxurious farmhouse, villa and cosy apartments, the estate is also open to visitors, there is a wide range of activities including wine tastings and guided tours of the farm and wine cellar. Also with a swimming pool, tennis and sauna on-site (local charges apply), whilst golf, beaches coastal resorts and a water park are only minutes away. Wellness & sports packages can be arranged and Quinta dos Vales is widely recognised as one of the Algarve's finest wedding venues in a very charming and memorable countryside location.

The magnificent 4 Seasons Villa, which measures 550 square metres in size, comprises of 6 bedrooms, of which 5 are en-suite, and the 6th has a bathroom across the corridor. The mezzanine gallery above the large living room can sleep two teenagers in sofa beds, and in the 2 main bedrooms an additional extra bed can be placed. In total this property will sleep comfortably up to 16 people with the use of the sofa beds and extra beds (extra supplements apply).

The furniture has been carefully selected. While the majority is modern and new, there are also several pieces dating back to the early 1800’s. Air conditioning has been installed in the bedrooms and throughout the prominent areas of the house, and the bathroom floors are heated for extra comfort in the cooler nights.

Living Areas

Adjacent to the living room there is a small bar area, ideal for a nightcap after dinner in front of the fire place. The living room is equipped with a TV with freeview satellite channels and DVD player. The living room and dining room are approximately 150 sqm in size and so allow that even the largest families and groups of friends can find privacy inside the property. There are quieter areas to sit and read and larger spaces for fun and games.

The modern air conditioned kitchen is situated next to the very grand dining room. Fully equipped, the kitchen appliances include a fridge freezer, electric hobs, oven, drinks chiller, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and juicer. A separate utility room houses the washing machine and tumble dryer.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

Bedroom one is a double room that utilises the bathroom across the hallway; bedroom two is a twin room with an en suite bathroom; bedroom three is a twin room with a TV and an en suite bathroom; bedroom four is a twin room with a TV and an en suite bathroom.

Bedrooms five and six are the larger main bedrooms. Bedroom five is a double room with the possibility of an extra single bed, TV and en suite shower room. Bedroom six is a double room with the possiblity of an extra single bed, TV and en suite shower room. There is also an additional guest cloakroom in the villa.

Outside Space

Breakfast can be enjoyed outside on the covered terraces, in front of the dining room or just outside the living room, or on the open terrace. The villa has a small private free-form swimming pool, which can be heated for a weekly supplemental fee, a traditional BBQ and a sauna hut.

The 4 Seasons is set in total privacy in a tree grove in the middle of the estate. Just behind the house is a small pine forest and a path leading to the small animal park where you can see, amongst others; algarvian goats and sheep, horses and wild deer. You could be led to believe you were on your own private reserve but, nevertheless, you are only minutes away from the closest golf courses, beaches, shopping and night life.

Elsewhere in the estate, there is also a large communal pool; the common sauna; a tennis court; children's playground, wine tastings and guided tours of the farm and cellar; workshops including painting, ceramics, sculpture, cork crafting, cooking lessons and show cooking; sports & wellness packages including golf, tennis, massage treatments and pilates lessons. Location

Quinta dos Vales is located in the heart of the Western Algarve, near the village of Estombar and a short drive to Carvoeiro, Portimao and Lagoa. There are numerous golf courses within driving distance of Quinta dos Vales, of which the closest are Gramacho (3km), Pinta (4km) and Silves (12km).

The closest of the Algarve's water parks, Slide & Splash, is only 2 kilometers away and there are several beautiful beaches in the Lagoa municipality, of which the closest are Ferragudo (7km) and Carvoeiro (9km). In driving distance you will find other attractive beaches such as Praia da Rocha and Praia do Vau in Portimão, or Meia Praia in Lagos amongst others.

The closest traditional market is in Estombar, there you will be able to buy fresh fish and vegetables, as well as bread and meat, it is open daily in the mornings, except Sunday. Otherwise there are supermarkets within close driving distance in Lagoa and Carvoeiro.

Other Items

Rates include a daily maid cleaning service (except Sundays and public holidays), bathroom towels changed twice a week and bed linen changed weekly. Electricity included in the rates, please use A/C responsibly.
