Overview

Quinta dos Vales is an outstanding wine and art estate located in the heart of the Western Algarve, near the village of Estombar and a short drive to Carvoeiro, Portimao and the beautiful local beaches. The unique combination of high-quality award-winning wines and stunning sculptures set in the beautiful gardens makes Quinta dos Vales a superb relaxing holiday retreat for up to 50 guests.

Offering a luxurious farmhouse, villa and cosy apartments, the estate is also open to visitors, there is a wide range of activities including wine tastings and guided tours of the farm and wine cellar. Also with a swimming pool, tennis, children's playground and sauna on-site (local charges apply), whilst golf, beaches coastal resorts and a water park are only minutes away. Wellness & sports packages can be arranged and Quinta dos Vales is widely recognised as one of the Algarve's finest wedding venues in a very charming and memorable countryside location.

The Four Winds apartments consist of 4 equally shaped units, all of which are on the ground floor, with two bedrooms each, a bathroom with under floor heating and an open kitchen/living room, air-conditioned. Each unit has its own semi-private area outside the apartment and there is a shared barbecue and laundry facility.

While the traditional lines of the building have been retained on the outside, the interiors have been redesigned completely. All units have been totally renovated to a high standard in 2007. The Four Winds are close to the entrance of Quinta dos Vales and just behind the wine cellar and where the wine making takes place. Just under 100m away across the vineyards there is a small spa area with sauna and shower, and there is the communal pool where you can relax by the poolside or on the partially shaded wooden deck.

The Four Winds apartments sleep up to 4 adults and 1 child on an extra bed per unit. In total there are 4 units available, so there is the possibility of sleeping groups of up to 16 adults and 4 children.

Living Areas

Open plan living room and kitchen. The living room is furnished with comfy sofas, and features a TV with freeview satellite channels, DVD player and wi-fi internet. The kitchen is equipped with electric hobs, an oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, fridge freezer and juicer.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

Bedroom one is a double room and bedroom two is a twin room, and both bedrooms share the use of the apartment's bathroom.

Outside Space

Two of the apartments have a small garden and the other two have a terrace with vineyard views. If you have a preference for either of these then please request upon booking. All four apartments share the use of the excellent Arab design communal pool, and there is a communal BBQ area and laundry area with washing machine.

Elsewhere in the estate, you will find the common sauna; a tennis court; wine tastings and guided tours of the farm and cellar; workshops including painting, ceramics, sculpture, cork crafting, cooking lessons and show cooking; sports & wellness packages including golf, tennis, massage treatments and pilates lessons. Location

Quinta dos Vales is located in the heart of the Western Algarve, near the village of Estombar and a short drive to Carvoeiro, Portimao and Lagoa. There are numerous golf courses within driving distance of Quinta dos Vales, of which the closest are Gramacho (3km), Pinta (4km) and Silves (12km).

The closest of the Algarve's water parks, Slide & Splash, is only 2 kilometers away and there are several beautiful beaches in the Lagoa municipality, of which the closest are Ferragudo (7km) and Carvoeiro (9km). In driving distance you will find other attractive beaches such as Praia da Rocha and Praia do Vau in Portimão, or Meia Praia in Lagos amongst others.

The closest traditional market is in Estombar, there you will be able to buy fresh fish and vegetables, as well as bread and meat, it is open daily in the mornings, except Sunday. Otherwise there are supermarkets within close driving distance in Lagoa and Carvoeiro.

Other Items

Rates include a daily maid cleaning service (except Sundays and public holidays), bathroom towels changed twice a week and bed linen changed weekly. Electricity included in the rates, please use A/C responsibly.
