Villa Amelie is a unique and individual villa in a stunning location, designed by the renowned architect Vasco Viera in the exclusive Oceano Clube within the prestigious Vale Do Lobo resort. It is located 250 metres away from Praia do Vale do Garrao Nascente which is better known as Julia’s Beach, and from the terraces you can enjoy simply beautiful ocean views whilst relaxing in pure luxury.

The villa design allows the occupants an unparalleled inside/outside living experience, whilst maintaining both security and privacy. It has been decorated and furnished throughout with elegance and taste in a broadly minimalist style using form, colour and texture and material to produce a unique and incredible villa.

Villa Amelie is an upside-down design with four floors. The upper level can be accessed via a staircase from the kitchen area and also from another staircase on the main decking area and comprises of a sundeck with clamshell beds and also a further raised relaxation and seating area which affords an amazing view of the surrounding area.
The main entrance door is accessed from the roadway via a stone staircase and opens into the kitchen area. The main living level contains the main entrance door, kitchen, dining and lounge and adjoins the main decking area which can be access by multiple sliding patio doors along the whole length of the decking.
The kitchen is designed and fitted by Boffi and features an island worktop with twin sinks, ceramic hob, dishwasher and twin vegetable fridges along with utensil and kitchenware/crockery storage with a breakfast bar at the far end of the island. The fridge, wine cooler, freezer, oven, microwave combo and coffee machine are housed in a unit adjacent to the kitchen island. The appliances are made by Gaggenau and there is also additional storage space alongside the kitchen island in a matching sideboard unit.
The dining area and lounge are well proportioned within the open plan living space and afford spectacular views of the surrounding area and beach. The dining table seats eight people and is adjacent to the kitchen island.
The lounge offers a comfortable B&B Italia Michael sofa to watch a multitude of satellite tv channels on a wall mounted SUHD television. There is a feature fireplace clad in ‘Corten’ steel with ethanol burners. The entire house has underfloor heating as well as ample air-conditioning throughout the villa. The main living area has motorised blinds to control the natural light and solar reflective glass which reduces both glare and internal heat transference.
Both upper floors and the basement are fully serviced by an extensive and powerful sound system which is controlled using a Control4 system. All areas in the villa are fully covered with a 5GB/s Wi-Fi throughout the property and gardens.
The basement level is accessed from the bedroom level corridor and contains an open-air atrium which is decked in wood with illuminated seating and table. This forms the focal point of the basement and all main areas in the basement have access to this atrium which serves to bring natural light and fresh air into the lower level of the villa. The basement staircase descends at the side of the atrium into the games room of the villa which gives access to all of the other rooms on this level.
The games room contains a theatre area with a 65” SUHD TV with 3D Dolby Atmos sound system which gives an ultra realistic dimension to movies and TV programs. The Theatre system also has a SUHD DVD player and a Playstation 4. There is access to many features including Netflix, Web browser etc and the system is controlled via the Control 4 entertainment hub, as is the sound system which has three separate areas in the basement. A B&B Italia Tufftytime sofa and coffee table is located for easy viewing in front of the Theatre TV.
Adjacent to the theatre area in this open plan room is an area which contains a foosball table, Air hockey table and a 7ft Pool table. There is also a wall bar with twin fridges and shelving for drink bottles. Two cupboards are located above the integrated fridges which contain a selection of drinking glasses and utensils. A bar table and two bar stools have also been placed in the bar area.
All necessary equipment to use these games are provided, such as pool cues and chalk, foosball balls, darts and scoring chalk, table tennis bats and balls and air hockey pucks and paddles. A guest w/c with wash-hand basin is located directly behind the theatre sofa for ease of use whilst playing games or using the theatre.
There is also a Utility room in this area which is accessed via a door to the right of the dartboard. The utility room contains a sink unit, inset washing machine and tumble dryer with drying rails above the worktop. There is also a small glass washer and an additional ice making machine in this room, along with additional storage/ linen cupboards. Across from the utility room is a corridor which gives access to the two double bedrooms on the basement level. This corridor also houses a built in bookcase which holds a selection of books, DVDs, music CDs and board games. It is also the storage location for all the games equipment and consumables used in the games room. This corridor leads to bedroom four and then turns and leads to bedroom five via another corridor which is lined with stored cupboards along one side.
The Gymnasium is accessed via the games room and is well equipped. Life Fitness Machines have been used throughout and a treadmill machine, recumbent exercise bike, step-machine and an advanced multi gym have been provided in this area. There are free weights along with various other fitness aids to provide a complete workout. There is also a modern steam room with mood lighting to refresh and relax you. The gymnasium has a SUHD TV and sound system which is accessed via the Control4 entertainment system. There are sliding doors which allow fresh air to circulate and also give access into the basement atrium area.
The bedroom level is accessed from either the kitchen/lounge area via a staircase or from the front garden/vehicle drive area, by means of a second entrance doorway which leads onto the bedroom corridor which benefits from significant natural light.
There are three bedrooms on this level, all with en suite facilities. All three bedrooms have sliding doors which open onto a stone patio with comfortable seating and a further two stylish sunbeds. Adjacent to this patio is an secure and secluded area of artificial grass which is completely fenced in with a continuous metal fence which surrounds the entire perimeter of the property. There is also an all-weather table tennis table situated on the artificial grass area.
Two of the bedrooms on this level are master bedrooms. All of the bedrooms on this level have high ceilings of about ten feet, giving a light and airy feel to the rooms. The larger of the two master bedrooms has a single en suite, but also has a generous bathtub, shower, double sink, w/c and bidet. and dressing area. This room also has a Emperor-sized B&B Italia bed (2.00m x 2.00m) with bedside tables and designer lamps. There are sliding patio doors with remote controlled blackout blinds and also two large picture windows which have dark wood venetian blinds, also remotely operated. There is ample storage space in the full height wardrobes in the dressing area with ample hanging, shelving and drawer space. the dressing area also has a comfortable pouffe and Barcelona chairs with full length mirrors on the reveals of both wardrobe banks. There is digital combination safe for the keeping of valuables in one of the wardrobes.
The second master bedroom has two separate en suite bathrooms, both with sinks, showers and w/c’s. There is a king-sized bed (1.60m x 2.0m) with bedside tables and lamps and also a leather sofa bed for additional accommodation, if required. There are two sets of sliding doors complete with remote controlled blackout blinds. These doors access the patio and grassed area.
The third bedroom on this level is smaller than the two master bedrooms. It has a double bed (1.60m x 2,0m) and sliding doors with remote controlled blackout blinds. There are bedside tables and lamps at the bedside. The patio doors again give access to the patio and grassed area. This bedroom also has an en suite shower room with w/c and sink and also benefits from a wall mounted HD television with access to the cable network and has an integral DVD player in the TV unit. There is ample wardrobe space with drawers and hanging partitions within the wardrobe.
Bedroom four on the basement level has a king-sized double bed (1.60m x 2.0m), bedside tables with lamps and an en suite shower room with sink and w/c. The bedroom has sliding doors with remote controlled blackout blinds. These doors allow access into the basement atrium area.
Bedroom five also has a king-sized double bed (1.60m x 2.0m), bedside tables with lamps and an en suite shower room with sink and w/c. This bedroom has an opening door which gives access onto the basement atrium level. This bedroom has opaque glass on all windows which allows natural lighting to this room whilst maintaining privacy.
The decking area incorporates an ‘L’ shaped heated pool to the perimeter of the timber deck with a lap pool (approximately 22 metres in length) and main pool area (8 x 4 metres). The pool can be heated upon request. The pool is a uniform depth of 1.2m and has built in access steps into the main pool and a ladder at the other end of the lap pool.
The deck area has B&B Italia sunbeds with side tables and two of the sunbeds are double sized. There is also a matching sofa and low table underneath a shaded area and a dining table that seats ten people comfortably beneath a sun shade.
The deck area also incorporates a well serviced barbecue area with an large integral BBQ and a sink. There is also a storage area underneath the upper-deck access stairwell. On the upper-deck there is a relaxation area that takes full advantage of the stunning views.
This villa enjoys a fabulous location close to the Praia do Vale do Garrão Nascente, which is better known as Julia’s beach, where you will find a selection of renowned beach bars, restaurants and eateries.
Rates include a maid cleaning service Mon-Fri (except public holidays) with towels changed midweek and linen changed weekly. Pool towels, a hairdryer and a safe are provided for your convenience.
Please note that there are two plots in front of the villa, on a lower level (Plots 2073 and 2074 Vale do Lobo) each with a villa under construction. These plots have been dormant for a period of time and we will continue to monitor the situation. Across the road from the entrance to the villa there is also an additional villa being built on plots 2041 and 2042. We do not expect noisy building work to take place or be allowed in Vale do Lobo during the peak months of July and August.
Prices quoted are per villa per week. Please note where your holiday dates cross multiple price bands the total holiday price is calculated per day per price band.
The rates quoted for 2025 bookings are based on 2024 rates and are subject to final confirmation around Oct / Nov 2024 (but could be later) when contracts are signed.
There is a local tourist tax for all visitors to Vale do Lobo.

This tax is payable by the visitor, however it is collected by Sun-hat Villas & Resorts with the final accommodation balance and passed by our local agents to the local authorities.
