Overview

Villa Catala is part of an exclusive community located in the hills above Bendinat, a largely residential area on the southwest coast of Mallorca.

A luxury villa for 10 persons, Villa Catala stays true to traditional Mediterranean architecture, while marrying the stunning style with chic contemporary living.

The marble-floored lounge is unique in its design, boasting a white grand piano, a bubble chair, as well as a comfy L-shaped sofa, Satellite TV and fireplace, which is perfect if the nights turn cooler.

A spacious and well- equipped kitchen tops off the leisure areas and comes with a large dining table so you can enjoy supper in comfort.

The bedrooms are every bit as sleek as the rest of the house, featuring designer wallpaper, elegant glass fixtures, and marble floors. Each of the 5 bedrooms comes with its own ensuite bathroom/shower room and they open onto a balcony boasting sea or mountain views.

Heading outside, a lovely, covered terrace with dining table & chairs makes the perfect spot for lingering lunches and evening meals overlooking the spectacular surrounding mountains.

This terrace extends around, with two sets of outdoor rattan suites, for relaxing, and to the swimming pool with open terrace surround with sunbeds & parasols and a lovely day bed to enjoy the panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea.

It’s a fabulous villa, full of character but with a sense of serene seclusion, despite its location just minutes from the buzz of Puerto Portals marina.

Bendinat’s small but perfectly formed beach is less than five minutes’ away by car, as are the lovely twin coves of Illetas and Contesa.

The location also puts you within easy reach of the beautiful city of Palma and its international airport, at just 20 minutes’ away by car.

Living Areas

Steps up from the parking area to the villa entrance;

Ground Floor – entrance hall, living room with comfortable L-shaped sofa & pouffe, a fun bubble chair, Satellite TV, a Sonos music system, WIFI, fireplace for chillier evenings, a white grand piano and access to the terrace. Modern, well-equipped kitchen with electric hob & oven, microwave, dishwasher, table & chairs and access to the terrace. Utility room with washing machine & tumble dryer.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

Steps up from the parking area to the villa entrance;

Ground Floor - 1 double bedroom with en-suite.

First Floor – 4 double bedrooms, all with access to a balcony/terrace and en-suite.

There are 4 bathrooms & 1 shower room.

Outside Space

A lovely, covered terrace with dining table & chairs makes the perfect spot for lingering lunches and evening meals overlooking the spectacular surrounding mountains.

This terrace extends around, with two sets of outdoor rattan suites, for relaxing, and to the salt-water swimming pool with open terrace surround, with sunbeds & parasols and a lovely day bed, to enjoy the panoramic views.

There is a barbecue for alfresco dining, but for eating out, there are lots of options within a short drive. Nearby Hotel Bendinat’s Las Terrazas, for example, offers refined cuisine with some superb sea views. Alternatively, the excellent Astir restaurant at the Iberostar Grand Portals Nous serves up a menu of more avant-garde gastronomy.

Nearest Village – C’as Catala, 2kms.

Bendinat’s small but perfectly formed beach, a small stretch of white sand with crystal-clear waters surrounded by pine groves, is less than five minutes’ away by car, as are the lovely twin coves of Illetas and Contesa.

Golf fans will be in their element with the exceptional Real Golf de Bendinat, an 18-hole course. Set in a picture-perfect wooded valley, the course boasts stunning views of the surrounding area, and the honorary President of the club is King Juan Carlos of Spain. The clubhouse offers excellent facilities and a great view of the 18th hole.

The location also puts you within easy reach of the beautiful city of Palma and its international airport, at just 20 minutes’ away by car.

Cot and highchair are available on request and are included free of charge.

The villa and all bedrooms & bathrooms/shower rooms will be fully prepared for arrival and then;

Preparation of a breakfast in the form of a delicious buffet and cleaning of the bedrooms & bathrooms daily between 08.00 am and 12.00 am (flexible t& upon agreement). There is a final cleaning charge, 400 euros.

Balearics Tourism License – ETV/3185

There is a local tourist tax called ECO TAX for all visitors to the Balearic Islands, the cost is 2 Euro per person per night for persons 16 years and over for the first 8 nights, after which the rate reduces to 1 euro per night. This tax is payable by the visitor, however it is collected by Sun-hat Villas & Resorts on the final accommodation invoice and passed by our local agents to the Balearics Government.
